THE FLEDGLINGS

for reception aged children
fundamentals of music and movement

The Fledglings encourages Reception aged children to test their wings with the fundamentals of music through movement and song, leading to performances at the end of each term.

Working with a coaching team of Music Director and Accompanist, children are introduced to a range of vocal repertoire, encouraged to try solos and contribute ideas, and given a range of tools to develop their confidence and teamwork and musicality in a fun, community environment.

Sessions

  • Introduces children to the joys of performing and expressing their emotions through song, focusing on developing singing skills in a healthy way and learning to work as part of a large group of performers.

  • Develops musical literacy and understanding through students’ very own musical instrument – their voice! They develop their understanding of pitch, rhythm, dynamics and tempo through interactive vocal and physical games and activities.

  • A chance for everyone to enjoy showcasing their skills and what they have learned at the end of each term.

Thank you for all the support that you gave us – the programme has such a great community feel.
